Turbocharger Repair

DFIS wants to make sure your Turbo works correctly when you reinstall it. When we receive your Turbo we disassemble it and inspect every part closely looking for damage and excessive wear. You need to have the proper clearance between the compressor wheel shaft and bearings so we use a micrometer and measure the shaft and bearing to insure proper clearance. This shaft also needs to be very straight, .002 of run off can cause your turbo to fail. Once we know what it will take to repair it we will call you with an estimate before we start any repair work so you will know exactly what it's going to cost before we start the repair.
